IAPG-Cameroon coordinator goes on

National Television to introduce IAPG and Geoethics

"Monday Show" is a Cameroonian television program broadcast all over the national territory through the Cameroon Radio & Television (CRTV) station at Mballa 2, Yaounde – the capital city of Cameroon. The program takes place live every Mondays, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and it is rebroadcast every Tuesdays between 10:00 am and 11:00 am. The one hour program that is broadcast strictly in English language, seeks to promote and showcase Cameroon’s culture, talents, urban and grassroots development initiatives. The program is usually characterized by musical presentations, discussions with guests of honour, drama, sketches, poetry, etc.
On 28 March 2016, the coordinator of IAPG-Cameroon section, Ndzishepngong Kelvin Ngwang, participated on “Monday Show” as special guest. During his discussion Kelvin introduced the IAPG and its mission, talked about the meaning of geoethics and about a project on climate change for young people co-sponsored by the Captain Planet Foundation and The Pollination project.
This was the first time such a sensitization on geoethics took place on the State media in Cameroon. The host of "Monday Show" and the Cameroon television viewers were excited to learn about geoethics. It is hoped that from time to time, members of the IAPG-Cameroon will dedicate time to share information about geoethics and IAPG activities to the general public.
This activity goes a long way to promote geoethics in Cameroon; but it is necessary for improving the relationship between the scientific community, the mass media and the public: this is one of the goals of geoethics and the IAPG..
