Teaching GeoEthics Across the Geoscience Curriculum

The IAPG - International Association for Promoting Geoethics will attend the workshop. Susan Kieffer, IAPG Vice-President, is one of the conveners. Silvia Peppoloni, IAPG Secretary General will open the workshop with a keynote speech titled "Foundations of Geoethics" (MP3 Audio 28.6MB Jun 10 2014). Giuseppe Di Capua, IAPG treasurer, will take a speech on the IAPG and on Geoethics in Italy.

- survey, aggregate, organize and disseminate the instructional resources that are currently available,
- create a collection of case studies on GeoEthics that can be used in introductory courses, embedded into "core" courses for geoscience majors, or in dedicated courses on GeoEthics, and
- expand the network of colleagues who are interested in including a GeoEthics component in their own course work.
